A new stainless steel surface to renovate existing pools without starting from scratch
Restyling doesn’t mean hiding the passage of time. It means building upon what already exists and guiding it into a new chapter of its life.
A pool built many years ago may still have a solid structure, yet display the signs of aging: deteriorated surfaces, compromised waterproofing, outdated aesthetics, or the burden of increasingly demanding maintenance.
In such cases, the question shouldn’t necessarily be: “Do we have to demolish and rebuild it?”
There is another option: enhancement of what is already there, leading it into a new phase.
It is precisely from this philosophy that Myrtha Skin was born—the technology developed by Myrtha Pools for renewing the internal surfaces of existing pools.
A New Surface Over the Existing Pool
Myrtha Skin utilizes special stainless steel elements laminated with PVC, engineered in a slim, flexible format that can be applied directly onto the walls and floor of the existing basin.
The result is a new continuous, uniform, and waterproof surface capable of adapting to complex geometries and curved features. For certain applications, Myrtha specifies an overall thickness of approximately 1 millimeter.
This means intervening on the pool without necessarily facing a complete demolition of the shell.
And that is precisely where restyling becomes truly compelling.
Restyling Means Making Better Use of What We Already Have
Renovating a pool shouldn’t simply mean replacing the old with the new. It can mean preserving what functions well and making targeted upgrades where evolution is needed.
Myrtha renovation technologies are engineered to work directly on existing structures, minimizing invasiveness, project complexity, and downtime compared to a full reconstruction.
A particularly significant example comes from Wadeye, Australia, where a project integrating Myrtha Skin returned an existing pool to full operation in approximately three weeks.
More Than Just Aesthetics
The value of Myrtha Skin extends far beyond the visual finish of the pool.
The intervention creates a new, durable, and completely waterproof surface that helps simplify long-term maintenance.
For hotels, resorts, hospitality venues, and private owners of existing pools, this opens up an appealing perspective: before considering demolition, it is worth evaluating whether the pool can be regenerated.
Naturally, every basin requires individual analysis: structure, geometry, mechanical systems, and overall state of preservation dictate which restyling technology is most appropriate.
A Second Life for Your Pool
At Teknopiscine, we believe that restyling will play an increasingly central role in modern pool design.
Because innovation doesn’t necessarily mean starting from scratch. Sometimes, it means looking at what exists, recognizing its intrinsic value, and leveraging technology to transform it.
Myrtha Skin: Don’t automatically demolish your pool. Discover first if you can give it a new life.
If your pool is showing signs of time, before considering demolition, let’s assess its condition together to determine the most effective intervention for your space.
