Introducing “Did You Know?”: Teknopiscine’s New Video Series
7 April 2026
On March 20th, the Tecsam headquarters in Martina Franca hosted an operational meeting promoted by Teknopiscine and Tecsam titled: “ASL Inspections in Progress! Is Your Pool Compliant with Regulations?”.
The event saw a significant turnout of B&B owners, vacation home managers, and non-hotel accommodation operators, confirming that this topic is currently a central and deeply felt issue in the tourism sector.
An Issue Directly Affecting Operators
From the very first remarks, one reality emerged clearly: pool management is no longer perceived as a mere accessory service, but as a complex responsibility involving regulatory, health, and managerial aspects. Ongoing inspections in the area have forced many managers to face—often for the first time—obligations and requirements that are not always clear.
Open Dialogue: Doubts, Critical Issues, and Operational Reality
During the meeting, the discussion became particularly engaging. A widespread sense of the following emerged:
- Regulatory confusion
- Interpretational difficulties
- Perceived disparity
Many operators highlighted how the current regulatory framework—specifically Puglia Regional Law no. 35/2008—is perceived as disproportionate to the size of non-hotel facilities. These small businesses are often treated, in terms of inspections and obligations, similarly to much larger hotel structures. This led to moments of heated debate, which proved extremely useful in bringing the sector’s real difficulties to light.
The Role of Experts: Clarifying and Providing Tools
La presenza del Responsabile SUAP di Martina Franca, Egidio Zingarelli, e di un rappresentante della ASL di Taranto ha The presence of Egidio Zingarelli (Head of SUAP Martina Franca) and a representative from the ASL of Taranto allowed the issue to be addressed concretely. Key topics included:
- Obligations under regional regulations
- Correct management of water parameters
- Necessary documentation
- The manager’s civil and criminal liabilities
The goal was not just to inform, but to reduce uncertainty and provide operational tools to face inspections with greater awareness.
From Complexity to Conscious Management
One of the most important messages was this: the regulations may be complex, but they are manageable. Teknopiscine and Tecsam helped transform doubts into a clearer path, proposing a practical and structured approach to pool management. This approach allows managers to simplify compliance, avoid errors, and face inspections with greater peace of mind.
A First Step Toward Greater Industry Clarity
The meeting concluded with a shared realization: the sector needs clearer regulations, accessible operational tools, and more opportunities for dialogue. Teknopiscine and Tecsam confirm their commitment to supporting non-hotel facilities, not only in plant construction but also in conscious and compliant pool management.
